The BoglerCo Ultralight Backpacking Trowel comes treated with a natural oil to prevent corrosion. They are not anodized because that process involves toxic chemicals that Ben from BoglerCo doesn’t want in his home workshop or the environment. A well-used trowel gains a simple rustic charm over time.
