While there are numerous definitions for overlanding, we like to think of it as multi-day hiking with a vehicle. Just like there are extensive wilderness areas that can only be explored on foot, there are vast deserts and remote locations where a vehicle is the safest option. While a vehicle can carry far more water and supplies than a pack, weight, durability and speed of camp setup are also important for overlanders.
