The Hultafors Dvardala Hunting & Forest Axe is a perfect axe for hunting and forest life. It is a combination of several different axe types, ideal for a day in the forest where you might have to deal with a wide range of challenges.

It has the same type of head as the Hultafors Aby Axe, but the handle is shorter making the axe easier to bring with you in your pack. The shorter handle also makes it easier when you work with the axe close to the body. The axe is suitable for precision work such as carving or building shelters, fire stands and other things around a camp site. This is thanks to a well-proportioned hand notch and a semi-straight edge with a flat and wide grind. The hand notch allows you to grip around the head and steer the axe with maximum control.

The edge is a semi-straight with flatter sides allowing the axe to rest firmly against the work piece when you cut along a piece of wood. But it’s still curved enough so that the axe can be used for lighter forestry work such as clearing a path or a line of fire. The head is a bit thicker over the cheeks giving it good splitting capabilities so you can chop firewood.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

How much do you charge for shipping?

We offer flat shipping rates of $9.95 AUD for our standard service and $24.95 AUD for our priority service within Australia. We offer a standard service to New Zealand for $24.95 NZD and to the United States for $24.95 USD.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We aim to ship orders within 1-2 business days. From there, it's in the hands of Australia Post, Startrack Express or Couriers Please (the quickest method for your order).

Delivery times vary based on your destination. Our warehouse is located in Sydney, and orders within Sydney are often as quick as 1-2 days. Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide are also relatively fast, while Perth and rural Australia takes longer.

Once your order has shipped, you will get an email from us with a link to the tracking information for your order.

What should I do if my order is overdue?

We recommend checking the tracking and allowing a few extra days, as freight can be delayed. The next step is to follow up with the freight company directly using the tracking details. If you are dissatisfied with their response, please contact us, and we will lodge an enquiry on your behalf and work to resolve the delay.
